Care shaped around you.

  1. Assessment

A confidential clinical and psychological review, conducted privately, before anything is decided.

  2. A bespoke program

A program written for you (therapeutic, medical and restorative) and revised as the weeks ask.

  3. Clinical & wellness team

A resident clinical team and wellness practitioners, present daily, with your care as their only work.

  4. Aftercare & continuity

Recovery continues after the residence, quietly supported, wherever in the world life resumes.

What we can help with.

  • Addiction & dependency

Alcohol, substances and behavioural dependency, treated medically and without judgement.

  • Dual diagnosis

Where addiction and an underlying condition are intertwined, and must be treated together.

  • Burnout & executive stress

For those who have carried too much for too long, and can no longer carry it in public.

  • Trauma & anxiety

Depression, complex trauma and anxiety, held in a setting that asks nothing of appearances.

How a stay works

How long people stay
Most programs run for several weeks. Your clinicians suggest a length after the assessment, and it can change as you go.
Families
Families can stay, visit, or join family sessions, as the program allows.
If someone isn’t ready
Many families write to us about someone who doesn’t want help yet. You can still talk to us. A clinician will help you think through how to raise it, and whether an intervention specialist would help.

Outside the consulting room

Not every session happens indoors. On a fine morning it can move to the courtyard under the milkwood, or out onto a walk.

A week at Camissa

No two programs are alike, but most weeks share a rhythm.

See a day, hour by hour
Mornings
A walk or movement first, then breakfast, then the first session of the day.
Middays
Lunch, rest, and time outdoors or in the spa.
Afternoons
A second session, family work or bodywork, as your program sets out.
Evenings
Dinner, quiet, and an early night. Someone is always awake in the house.

Withdrawal, safely

Stopping alcohol, sedatives or opioids suddenly can be dangerous. At Camissa, withdrawal is supervised from the first hour, with medication where it is needed. If someone needs hospital care first, we help arrange it before they come.

When Camissa isn’t the right place

Some needs are better met in a hospital, such as a crisis where someone’s safety can’t be kept in a home setting. If that is the case, we will say so in the first conversation and help you find the right care.

Clinical excellence.

The privacy is absolute; the medicine is not casual. Behind the quiet is a complete, senior clinical service: the kind normally reserved for a whole facility, here given entirely to your care.
