Begin with a private conversation.
There is no booking, no published pricing, and no public door. Tell us a little, in confidence, and someone will respond to you personally.
Admission is by application and referral only. Every enquiry is treated as strictly confidential.
What happens next
-
You write to us
A few lines are enough. You can write for yourself, for someone in your family, or for a client.
-
We reply personally
Someone from our team replies to you directly, in confidence.
-
A private conversation
A senior clinician talks it through with you, often before the person themselves is involved.
-
Assessment
If it is right to go ahead, a confidential clinical assessment comes before anything is decided.
-
Arrival
We plan a private arrival with you, down to who meets you when you land.
Questions
- Where is Camissa?
- On the Cape coast of South Africa. We give the address only after an application is accepted.
- Who do you help?
- People living with addiction, burnout, trauma, depression or anxiety, or more than one of these at once. The Programmes page sets them out.
- Can my family come?
- Yes. Camissa takes one guest or one family at a time, and family can stay in the guest wing.
- How much does it cost?
- Fees aren’t published. Stays are priced by the week and agreed in writing before you arrive.
- Can I enquire for someone else?
- Yes, and families and advisers often do. Say on the form who you are writing for.
- Will anyone know I enquired?
- Not from us. Every enquiry is treated as strictly confidential, and we do not confirm to anyone that a person has been in touch, except where the law requires it.
- Do you help with withdrawal?
- Yes. The Programmes page explains how it is handled.
- Can you cater for my diet?
- Yes. Meals are cooked around your tastes, allergies and clinical brief.
- Do you accept insurance?
- Stays are paid privately. If you hope to claim from an insurer, tell us early and we will help with the paperwork they ask for.
- Is Camissa registered?
- Details of our registration and our clinicians’ professional standing are shared in the first conversation.
- What is the daily schedule?
- It is written around your program. The Retreat shows a typical day, hour by hour.
